ORPHANED LAND – To Or-Shalem And Back

Almost 2 years have passed since ORPHANED LAND released its fourth masterpiece, “The Never Ending Way Of ORwarriOR”, and you can say that the band had not one moment to spare this whole time. Between constant touring (they returned from Europe just last week), the band also released a very special DVD, filmed just a year ago in Tel-Aviv, with such guests as Steven Wilson (PORCUPINE TREE) and Yehuda Poliker. Barely rested, ORPHANED LAND is about to embark on a short Israeli tour that besides Tel-Aviv and Haifa, will see the band on its first electrical show in Jerusalem (“Or-Shalem”). Just before they’ll destroy Israel’s finest stages, I had the pleasure to chat with ORPHANED LAND’s members during a recent acoustic performance they held at the Museum Of Islamic Art in Jerusalem. We discussed about the band’s recent tour with MYRATH and ARKAN, as well as about Uri’s beard, Matan’s documentary, Yossi’s solo album and their plans for 2012… Enjoy!
